i have a 1997 honda accord ex, aut trans, i took it to the mechanic and got it checked..he gave me a paper which had the things that needed to get fix. it said my front left motor mount is broken and needed a new one....am i was lookin them up online.and i got..engine motor mount,,and transmission mount ?which one is the right one? and how much is it...thanks..in advance
A: Motor mount is a hard rubber block to absorb the vibration and movement from motor. Should be around $150 to $200 to replace it. Fairly easy job. U must get under car and jack up motor a couple of inches them replace mount. usually 3 to 4 bolts hold it in place.
Q: How is a 98 Honda Accord with a JDM engine?
i am planning to buy a honda accord 98 with a jdm engine. Just wondering what is the main differents between this and a factory accord engine? Gas, hp, reliablity and longivity?
A: to be truthful there ain't a great deal of difference there is usually more HP in jdm but most are restricted to 180 kph, my jdm crx is pretty easy to match parts up with uk models.

My 91 accord starts to shake at 50mph and above preventing me to go any faster the green "s" box flashes indicating possible transmission issues but it runs fine until I hit 50mph or above the spring has been cut to lower car but I have no idea what this may be. Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!
A: first off people buy honda's because they think they are saving money by getting good gas mileage but in reality they are not even though a honda gets 40mpg you are still paying 5 dollars a gallon the reason ur car is messing up is that it is a honda and the only kind of truck,car,vehicle to own is a chevy

I have a 1998 honda accord 2.3L 4 door model with 60000 miles on it. I noticed an oil leak and changed the oil pan gasket in the car yesterday but today morning I saw some oil on the floor. Is it leaking again? If yes, what should I do?
A: The oil pan gasket may not have been leaking, or wasn't the only leak. If the front seal, or rear main seal leak the oil runs down over the oil pan making it look like the pan gasket is leaking.
Clean everything up with a good degreaser and recheck for leaks. Leaks that start higher up on the engine can be difficult to track down, but some patience usually pays off.

I want to find out how to replace a 1998 honda accord 4dr side view mirror.
Do I have to remove the door panel in order to replace a broken power side view mirror? or Can I just disconnect the wire from the mirror and reattached without removing the door panel? Please let me know.
A: you will probably have to remove the inside door panel unless you can get to the bolts that hold the mirror on from the inside without taking it off.

I got my brand new accord 2008 and i dont even have 12000 miles on it and the back brakes are all ready worn out i dont even drive my car. the dealership said it was because the new break pads are soft w/e. so i was thinking of either getting an

A: Acura TL is super nice and really modern looking. I would recommend that. The cts is ok, but its not as reliable as the Acura. You should look at an Lexus IS also.
You still need to fix the brake pads on the accord before you can trade it in though. See if the warranty covers it and then you can decide if you really want to keep it or trade it in. It still going to work just fine with the new brake pads.
Q: How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?
I've been told 3000, but my owners manual says 7500. I have a 98 honda accord v6 with 128k. I currently drive 35 miles (one way) to school, 4 times a week. I don't drive aggressively or anything like and it's usually raining where i live. I'm using castrol synthetic blend at every oil change. Would it okay to wait until 5k miles to get it changed?
A: Why not split the difference and change the oil and filter every 5,000 miles like Toyota still suggests today? Your manufacturer suggests using 5W-30 year round.
If you live where the temperature could dip below 0 Farenheit full synthetic 5W-30 Mobil1 pours @ -47 below 0. Castrol Edge is horribly overpriced. Valvoline, Quaker state and Pennzoil full synthetic is $20.00 for a five quart container at Walmart. Mobil1 is $22.00 and Mobil1 Extended Performance is $24.00 at Wally World.
Q: How can i make the exhaust on my 99 honda accord quieter?
I just bought a 99 honda accord for cheap just a commuter car, but it has a vtech motor and loud exhaust that i dont like. I hate that loud sound. So what would be the best/simplest/cheapest way to quiet the sound. Someone told me I would have to replace the exhaust which im hoping i dont have to do. Any suggestions?
A: New muffler and hope that the last owner didn't weld on the crappy loud muffler you have now.
It won't be as quiet as it should be unless you get an OEM exhaust muffler.
