Q: 1995 Honda civic makes squealing noise when you start the vehicle?
Hey everyone I really need some help with my 1995 Honda civic.Just today i started up my vehicle and once i started it, it made a loud squealing/screeching noise. So i got one of my family members to look at it and they said that its probably the alternator belt.I checked it out and it seems pretty tight and im not sure if thats normal. Can someone please help me ASAP.
A: It may be the bearings going bad on one of the accessories. You can check by removing the belt(s) and spin the pulleys by hand. They should spin easily with no noise or friction. If the pulleys are good, then one of your belts has become hard and glazed and should be replaced.
Q: What is the Geico insurance cost difference between a honda civic coupe and honda civic sedan?

Q: What is the easiest way to remove the 2003 Honda Civic front emblem?
I have a 2003 honda civic and I am trying to remove the emblems. The back one came off pretty easy with a hair dryer and dental floss but the front one just wont budge. It broke the floss and even a credit card won't get it off. I am afraid that there are screws or something but it isn't coming off easily. What is the recommended way to remove the front emblem for it?
A: Floss won't work, it's "riveted" on. Most Honda front emblems are. When you do get it off you will then have two vertical holes exposed and you'd have to fill them.
Q: What are some similar cars to a honda civic or?
What are some similar cars to a honda civic, delsol, or even a voltswagon golf?

Q: What is the best model for a used Honda Civic?
I am interested in getting a Honda Civic coupe. I was wondering what is the best model and year for the honda civic? I want it to be used since this is my first car. I was thinking about getting a 1999-2005 civic.
A: man i would tell you the Em1 or Ek's parts are cheaper , if your wanting to modify is also cheaper then the Ep3's and the F's .. i would recommend an Em1 (Si) , hard to find but if you cant find you you can always go with an ek (lx)..as what year you choose comes the pros and cons, pros--cheaper parts , easier work, cheaper labor, cons, attracts more attentions to thieves , easier to steal if a good alarm system is not invested on it, there is so many things you wanna consider. i own an Em1 thats street tuned, and very well taken care of and its theft proof :).. you can take it as far as you want
Q: How to check for a blown head gasket in a 1994 Honda Civic?
My 1994 Honda Civic is overheating and I need to check for a blown head gasket. How do i do this? There is no water in the oil. We have replaced the thermostat and the timing belt recently.
A: Fill the cooling system with clean water and start the engine with the cap off.Leave it ticking over and observe the filler neck.If you see large air bubbles in the water then it a tell tail sign that compression is entering the cooling system? If the gasket is blown, then eventually the engine will start to throw the water out of the filler neck big time.Hope this helps
Q: My honda civic got flooded all the way to the top but will the transmission still work to put it on another ca?

A: Probably not.
Q: What company is good for Honda civic performance parts?
BTW for a 1997 Honda Civic Ex.
A: Well I don't know what the other two answers are about? For the record you have an EK! And the EX is the best model to work with other then the SI. If you look at EG's (92-95 Civic Hatch, EJ1 92-95 Civic Coupe) they are the same motor and tranny from the SI Hatch and the EX Coupe, so go figure! As for companys that make performance parts for your car it's outrageously crazy how many make parts for your car.
Lets start out with the most known. Spoon, Skunk2, Tein for suspension work, Hondata for your ECU or cars computer, AEM, BLOX, Megan, HFP (Honda Factory Performance), And MOST importantly this is the biggest in my opinion, MUGEN.
I guess what it comes down to is what parts you need and who offers the best product for that part at a good price. Lets face it, not everything needs to be name brand for it to due the same thing at the same quality like say, strut bars. They will all due the same function unless they're really that crappy.
But hopefully this helps and don't worry about haters! Your car is the best model besides the SI of course. It is wired for Vtec and has all the same amenities of an SI just not the motor an power, but that is easily taken care of! Good luck with your car though!

Q: How to put back 8th gen honda civic coolant tank?
I have a 8th generation honda civic (2010).
I removed the tank to change my headlight bulbs on the driver side by simply pulling it out but it doesn't seem to slide back in. Is there a easy way to line up the slot to slide the coolant tank back in?
A: There is not really a way you just have to keep trying ... I wish there was a way then that would make it easier on all of us 8th gen owners

Thanks to all who answer
A: okay dude...I'm an american tuner and I dunno how hard they are to find over there but they are really abundant here!!! The type-R is really rare here though!! If you can find one for under 10,000.00 USD then it is worth it!!! but I would also recommend that you just get a civic and make it a type R yourself..... I've seen this alot here and I have a JDM tuner myself..... that i built off of an 2000 civic Si platform. As far as mods..... I paid about 650.00 USD for my body kit, and it came with the lights, and for rims you are probably looking at between 1,000.00 and 4,000.00USD depending on the type of rims and the sizes that you want. And for getting the mods done..... do them yourself..... most tuners hate people with "shop cars" this means that you didn't do the work yourself...... but bigger stuff like turbos and headers, exhaust etc.... take that to the shop.... but kits and rims you can do yourself!!! My recommendations would be to get a good honda civic... regardless of the type.... and build it a little at a time.... start with a good exhaust.... ie. Skunk 2, GReddy, or K&N.... then get a Cold Air Intake or a turbo charger... ( if you plan on turbo charging your car.... make sure that your xhaust is turbo compatable) Then get your rims..... then your kit so you can make sure that everything looks good... then get it painted...... then you can do whatever other outside mods you may want to do... also interior wise if you are going to do anything... be careful because your car if it is after a 96 will have different sensors that you can set off if you aren't careful
Q: Honda Civic?
There's a (I think 95?) Somewhere aroudn there...Honda Civic EX two door that I want to buy. It's $700. The book value is $3,000 but there's some postives and negatives. The negatives is that the transmission is bad but if I pay an extra $100 the seller will put it in for free and buy it. There is no driver side window. At a junk yard I could replace that easily though for about $40. The windshield is cracked but I could replace that for about $75 to 100. The left (or right) front fender is dented but I know someone that can fix that pretty easy for about $25. The paint it purple and primer. The positives is that it's some kind of limiter edition? I'm not sure. There are Si special rims to it. I'm not sure about those either. Also, there are free performance parts the seller would give me, but i'm not sure what they are.
Do you think that this is a good deal?? I don't think it's bad but my mom and my boyfriend said that it's a rip off. I'm only 16.
A: I think youre gettin ripped off. Even if its only $700. You are gonna put WAY more than $700 on that car. I would say its around $3000 blue book yes, but its not even worth $700 if its in that bad of shape. And there is no way NO WAY that he could pay $100 for a transmission and just put it in like that. The transmission is one of if not the most expensive thing to put in a car, and its HARD to fix. I have a Civic, I've had one for about five years. Dont do it man. A Civic is the best car out there, just save up and if you put an extra thousand in it you can find a much better one.
Q: honda civic?
hey do anyone knows where can i find a cheap 1999 honda civic Si engine in california?? or wnywhere but cheap??
A: Recycler.com or craigslist. Also, try CNS Motors. I've had good experiences with them. They have a location in Santa Ana and also one in El Monte I believe but I've never been to that location. Also, you can order form them online at cnsmotors.com. If you search the newspaper, you'll find a lot of used JDM engine distributors. That's one of the beauties to living here in California. These shops are as common as Arco stations.
